Our client is an independently owned PR agency located in New York City with an amazing reputation. They are seeking an Account Director to manage some prestigious beauty brands for the agency. The Account Director will be responsible for client management, team profitability and the overall development of brand strategy for a variety of brands – corporate and niche. He or she will also oversee several mid and junior level team members
Responsibilities:
- Securing beauty editorial coverage (print, broadcast and online)
- Lead client liaison focusing on retention, maintenance and growth
- High-level PR strategies & plan development for current and potential clients
- Edit / product release calendar management
- Monthly client reporting
- Event management / production
- Team management/ direction
- Assist in new business for the agency
- Pitch proposal development & delivery
Requirements:
- Must be a strong writer
- Experience working with beauty, fashion and lifestyle accounts is essential
- Agency experience is required with prior experience working on beauty accounts.
- Strategic, creative thinker able to conceptualize media and consumer buzz programs
- Amazing media contacts – not just with beauty but with broadcast, newspapers, etc.
- Experience on health/doctor brands a plus
- Creative & strategic thinking skills are required, as is effective organizational skills
- Enthusiastic and hard-working & passionate about the industry
- Strong understanding of social media
- Passion for networking
- Strong leadership skills
